If you have thorough current experience in operating a forklift, we suggest you look at our 1 day Experienced Forklift Course.

You will require a USI prior to obtaining the Statement of Attainment. 

You can create your USI at http://usi.gov.au/create-your-USI/Pages/default.aspx it only takes 5 minutes. Please bring your USI with you when you attend your training course.

Course Details:
This 1.5 day forklift training course comprises a written theory assessment (in English), followed by practical driving training and assessment.

Note: Due to changes in WorkSafe's assessment process, there is a MANDATORY pre-reading component (of approximately 2 hours) which is required to be completed before sitting this course.  This can be done via a PDF workbook. Students who have not completed the necessary pre-course study will need to reschedule to an alternate date, at a cost of 50% of the course fee.
Upon successful completion, participants are issued with a temporary paper forklift ticket (valid for 60 days), within which time, participants need to apply to WorkSafe for their nationally recognised photo ID forklift licence and pay an additional fee of $100.00.

What to Bring:
Strict ID requirements apply for this course.  You will need either 1 x form of photo ID (Australian Driver's Licence, or any passport) plus 1 x form of non-photo ID (e.f. Medicare or ATM card); OR 1 x form of primary non-photo ID that included your date of birth (e.g. birth certificate), plus 2 x forms of secondary non-photo ID (e.g. Medicare, ATM or Health Care Card).
 
 
Assessment:
Participants need to pass a written theory assessment (in English) and practical driving assessment in order to successfully complete this course.

Pre-requisites:
Participants need to be at least 18 years of age.  Must have a strong enough level of English language to be able to complete the written theory assessment and understand spoken instructions in the practical component.  Must have basic maths skills as the assessment includes calculation questions and must wear closed shoes to their course (preferably safety boots) and long pants are advised.
 
 
Reasonable Adjustment:
Participants with learning difficulties may apply to conduct an oral theory assessment or may request extended time to complete their learning and assessment.  Please make this known at the time of booking.

Rebates:
Eligible participants, working in the construction industry can apply for a subsidy of up to 70% of their course fee directly from the Building and Construction Industry Training Fund (BCITF) upon completion of this course.  We can provide you with the application form on the day of your course.
